I sing a song that Mary loved, but she won't sing with me

Susan on a Saturday came tripping through by chance

On summer wind, in child's play, her footsteps in a dance

Come a calling, cattails falling, spun from bric-a-brac

She left a song to linger on, but won't be coming back

Colors turn in carnival as seasons make the rounds

Winter breathes as Autumn leaves, then snow comes falling down

Take a walk, we used to talk, through redwood silent grace

To a meadow where I swear (I) still sometimes see her face
