This is an obsolete page - I just haven't gotten around to fixing up the DNS.
Go have a look over at
Really.
I'm David Pablo Cohn, or just "pablo" for short.
Professionally, I'm a computer scientist trained in statistical machine learning, specializing in text and information retrieval. I believe that technology is morally neutral, and as such, it is the obligation of its creators to ensure that, to the best of their abilities, it is used for the common good.
I spend my days as a Senior Research Scientist at Google, and think I've got the (third) best job on the planet.
By avocation, I'm a flight instructor, and love flying antique airplanes. More on that over at the "flight" page. When not at work or in the air, I write and play folk music badly, but with enthusiasm.
